Choose furniture for high ceilings by balancing vertical scale with grounded, comfortable pieces. The room should feel dramatic, but the seating and storage still need to relate to human height.
Start by avoiding furniture that is too small or low for the volume of the room. A tiny sofa, short TV stand, or small coffee table can look lost under tall walls. Larger sectionals, longer sofas, substantial coffee tables, and taller storage pieces often work better.
