We were looking for a statement piece to go with our mustard drapes and black textured chairs, and this table absolutely nailed it. The solid wood slatted legs give it a very high-end, custom look. As you can see from the pink toy car in the corner, we have a toddler, so having a sintered stone top that wipes clean without staining is a total game changer. It feels incredibly sturdy.

Beautiful table that fits perfectly with our minimalist aesthetic. The sintered stone is great for everyday use. Knocking off one star because assembly took a bit longer than expected due to some vague instructions, but we figured it out. We get compliments on it all the time.

I was a bit nervous buying furniture online, but I am so pleasantly surprised. The bold veining on the sintered stone top is gorgeous and looks amazing next to our piano and woven chairs. It gives the room a warm, inviting feel. The solid wood slatted base is heavy and well-constructed, making the whole piece feel very grounded. Best of all, I don't have to worry about water rings like I did with my old wood table."

This table is the perfect addition to our breakfast nook. The natural light from the bay windows really shows off the subtle details in the sintered stone. I am obsessed with the solid wood slatted legs—they add so much character and match the wood tones on our green chairs perfectly. It feels very high-end and the top is a breeze to keep clean.

The sintered stone top is extremely easy to maintain. It doesn’t show stains easily, and even after daily use, it still looks clean with just a quick wipe. I really love the solid wood slat detailing on the legs—it adds warmth and texture without looking bulky. The smile-shaped base gives it a unique, sculptural look that stands out from typical dining tables.

    Questions & Answers

We have suggested questions and answers for you that may be of interest to you .

How is this rectangular table different from other Silva dining tables?

Unlike the round DT8268 or oval DT8258, this 71-inch rectangular dining table stands apart with a sculptural double pedestal base featuring slatted wood detailing — what we call the "smile base." The U-shaped design delivers rock-solid stability for the longer surface, while the elongated silhouette brings a more formal, refined feel to dinner parties and weeknight meals alike. And like the rest of the Silva collection, it's topped with the same easy-care glossy sintered stone.

How do I clean and maintain the sintered stone tabletop?

Just wipe with a damp cloth — that's it. The glossy sintered stone top is kiln-fired from natural minerals, making it non-porous, scratch-resistant, and heat-resistant. Red wine, coffee, and citrus wipe clean without a trace, and there's never any sealing or special cleaners required. For the solid wood double pedestal base with its signature slatted detailing, a gentle wood cleaner keeps the warm walnut finish looking beautiful for years.

How does sintered stone compare to marble or quartz?

Sintered stone is engineered to outperform — it's harder than marble at Mohs 6, completely non-porous, stain-proof, heat-resistant (yes, hot pans are fine), and scratch-proof. Unlike marble, it won't etch from acidic foods and never needs sealing. Compared to quartz, it handles higher temperatures with ease. You get the same luxurious marble-look glossy finish, but with better durability and zero maintenance — a smarter, more practical choice for everyday modern living.

Is the table difficult to assemble?

Not at all — partial assembly is straightforward. The table ships in two cartons with all tools and clear step-by-step instructions included. Just attach the solid wood double pedestal base to the tabletop, secure it, and you're ready to host. Most people find it a quick, hassle-free process. Since the 71-inch rectangular surface is solidly built with premium materials, we recommend two adults for lifting and positioning.

What makes the double pedestal base different from single pedestal?

Beyond the obvious visual impact, the double pedestal base offers superior stability and balanced weight distribution across the full 71-inch span — no wobble, even with a full dinner spread. But it's also a design statement: solid wood slats arranged in a distinctive U-shape create what we call the "smile base," a sculptural detail that brings warmth and architectural character. It's the kind of mid-century modern touch that turns a dining table into a conversation piece.
