I almost never write reviews, but wanted to say this is a great table. Having read other reviews, I was concerned about the packaging, but it was packaged quite nicely so I think many of the negative reviews regarding broken parts may be attributable to the movers. For the price, you get a very nice table. Yes, on one side the extension was off by maybe 1/16", but we're not so worried about that. Note that tapping on the table, it will sound hollow, because the base (made of some sort of metal) is hollow. The surface is beautiful in our opinion and seems durable. Note that the base's edge may seem sharp in the picture, but it is rounded. Also, the extension mechanism seems clumsy in the video, but we really like the mechanism. If one pushes down on it when it is fully extended, we have not found it to collapse and felt quite solid. For $1899, we feel it is a good value.
